Verity and Gevo

Verity is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gevo, dedicated to providing full-service carbon project development through its proprietary digital MRV (Measure, Report, Verify) platform, powered by distributed ledger technology. Verity specializes in carbon accounting and services aimed at maximizing the value of environmental benefits throughout the entire business system.

Gevo’s mission is to convert renewable energy and biogenic carbon into sustainable fuels and chemicals with a net zero or better carbon footprint. Gevo’s innovative technology can be used to make a variety of products, including sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”), motor fuels, chemicals, and other materials. Gevo’s business model includes developing, financing, and operating production facilities for these renewable fuels and other products. It currently runs one of the largest dairy-based renewable natural gas (“RNG”) facilities in the United States. It also owns the world’s first production facility for specialty alcohol-to-jet (“ATJ”) fuels and chemicals. Kimberly Bowron

Kimberly Bowron

President

Kimberly Bowron brings over thirty years of strategic leadership and operational excellence to Verity as President, having joined the company in February 2025. A visionary leader with deep expertise in the renewable energy sector, she has guided companies through growth phases, acquisitions, and organizational transformations. Prior to Verity, Kimberly served as Chief People and IT Officer at Gevo, Inc., where she led enterprise-wide strategies in HR, cybersecurity, and organizational development. She collaborates closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on executive compensation, succession planning, and board governance, advancing the company’s mission in low-carbon fuels. Previously, as Chief Administrative Officer at Cadre Services, a producer of proppants, she played a pivotal role in the company’s $100 million sale to U.S. Silica, leading greenfield development, operations and securing offtake agreements covering 40% of company revenues. Kimberly has led teams across industries including petrochemicals, cybersecurity, managed services and media and entertainment. Kimberly holds a Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology from California State University at Long Beach and has completed executive education in Compensation and Audit Committees at Harvard Business School. She also holds a cybersecurity certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors and Carnegie Mellon University. As President of Verity, Kimberly draws on her cross-functional expertise to drive strategic growth across the ethanol and voluntary carbon markets.

Eric Frey

Eric Frey

Chief Financial Officer

Eric Frey brings deep financial acumen, energy transition insight, and scientific rigor to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Verity. He joined the company following key leadership roles at Gevo, including Vice President of Corporate Development and Vice President of Finance, where he helped lead M&A activity, capital strategy, and growth planning in the low-carbon fuels sector. Before Gevo, Eric spent eight years at Citigroup, rising to Director in the Clean Energy Transition investment banking group. He played a founding role in the team, executing more than $70 billion in transactions across Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), and Renewable Diesel (RD), advising leading energy firms on strategic growth and valuation. Eric holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Physics from Rice University, where he specialized in biophysics and earned national fellowships, and a B.S. in Physics, magna cum laude, from Miami University, where he was honored with the Barry Goldwater and Astronaut Foundation Scholarships. At Verity, Eric applies a systems-thinking mindset and data-driven decision-making to advance capital deployment, partnership structuring, and long-term value creation across the carbon markets.

Jill Stanford

Jill Stanford

Vice President, Product

Jill Stanford serves as Vice President of Product at Verity, where she leverages more than 18 years of experience in GIS, remote sensing, and precision agriculture to drive digital innovation in sustainable farming systems. She joined Verity in September 2024 following Gevo’s acquisition of CultivateAI, where she was CEO and Co-Founder. Jill spent over a decade at John Deere, where she led software architecture for over 40 mobile applications and pioneered major product innovations, including Mobile Data Transfer (MDT) and GIS mapping systems for in-cab displays. Her leadership extended to designing critical systems such as Swath Control, JD Rate Control, and Apex desktop mapping software. She is a recognized leader in the precision ag industry, having served as chair and vice chair of AgGateway’s Precision Ag Council, where she led the creation of the ADAPT data standard. Currently, she represents the U.S. on the ISO Smart Farming Livestock Subgroup, helping define international data standards. Jill continues to apply her deep technical expertise to real-world agriculture by testing solutions on her family farm, ensuring Verity’s tools are built with growers in mind and aligned with sustainability objectives.

Jeff Germain

Jeff Germain

Vice President, Engineering

Jeff Germain serves as Vice President of Engineering at Verity, where he leads the design and delivery of geospatial software solutions for sustainability and carbon tracking. He joined Verity in September 2024 following Gevo’s acquisition of CultivateAI, where he was CTO and Co-Founder. With over 17 years of experience in programming and application development, Jeff is a seasoned architect in Esri and Microsoft .NET environments, developing enterprise-scale systems across agriculture, transportation, and infrastructure sectors. His project leadership includes the Growers Software Platform, Premier Crop’s DataView analytics suite, and transportation information systems for Ohio and Colorado DOTs. At Verity, Jeff leads the engineering team developing scalable, high-performance GIS systems and carbon accounting tools that serve the precision agriculture industry. His deep technical foundation in SQL Spatial, ArcGIS Enterprise, PostGIS, Mapbox, and cloud-native frameworks ensures that Verity’s digital platform meets the high standards required for carbon compliance and sustainability tracking. Jeff’s mission-driven focus aligns with Verity’s commitment to empowering growers and organizations to make data-informed decisions that support environmental and financial outcomes.

Justin Mease

Justin Mease

Director, Commercial

Justin Mease serves as Director of Commercial at Verity, where he brings more than a decade of success in driving growth, market expansion, and strategic alignment across the renewable energy and biofuels sectors. Since joining Verity, Justin has played a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, expanding customer partnerships, and scaling the company’s presence in grain processing, renewable fuels and voluntary carbon markets. Before Verity, Justin held key leadership roles at Chevron and Renewable Energy Group. At Chevron, he led Renewable Fuels Optimization efforts, integrating commercial, operational, and compliance strategies across the supply chain. While at Renewable Energy Group, he served as Director of Commercial Sales, delivered multiple business turnarounds by developing high-performing teams and forging strategic agreements with major customers and OEMs. Justin’s commercial expertise spans production optimization, pricing strategy, regulatory compliance, supply chain logistics, and credit system navigation. He has successfully influenced policy and regulatory frameworks, enabling new growth opportunities for renewable fuel adoption. Known for his collaborative leadership style and ability to unite cross-functional teams, Justin has a strong track record of aligning internal capabilities with external market needs—turning complexity into actionable growth. His deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape and ability to deliver measurable business impact make him a key force behind Verity’s commercial success. Justin holds an MBA in Finance from Iowa State University and brings the discipline, grit, and teamwork of a former collegiate athlete.

Jennifer Bond

Director, Customer Success

Jennifer Bond brings over 15 years of experience in sustainability and decarbonization to Verity, where she serves as Director of Customer Success. Since joining the company in October 2023, Jennifer has led the development and commercialization of Verity’s traceability software, a first-of-its-kind mass-balance platform ensuring supply chain compliance with low-carbon programs. Jennifer oversees a multidisciplinary team of agronomists, geospatial engineers, life cycle analysts, and data integrity specialists. Under her leadership, Verity’s customer solutions have unlocked revenue opportunities worth up to $20 million per customer by identifying and enabling new market access. She also established standardized onboarding protocols and continues to refine Verity’s carbon intensity modeling software to meet evolving client needs. Prior to Verity, Jennifer spent nine years at Valero Energy Corporation, where she rose quickly to lead low carbon compliance strategy. She launched Valero’s Low Carbon Assurance Program and managed compliance across more than 25 business groups, including development of industry-first pricing methodologies for Clean Fuel Regulation credits. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. She is passionate about transforming sustainability challenges into innovative, commercially viable solutions.

Elim Yeoh

Elim Yeoh, MBA, is a distinguished professional in the energy sector with a diverse and extensive career history. Currently serving as the Head of Biofuels Growth, Americas at bp, she is leading the charge to shape and deliver on bp’s 2030 goals for the region. Bioenergy Growth is a growth engine for bp, one that is expected to deliver $4b EBITDA globally by 2030. Prior to joining bp, she was with Chevron for over 20 years with increasing responsibilities across Downstream and Chemicals. Elim held the role of Director, Global Renewables Partnerships last, where she led teams in identifying commercial opportunities and developing deal structures to enhance returns in RNG/CNG, SAF and other decarbonization solutions. In addition, she has demonstrated strategic insights in conceptualizing, developing and executing renewable energy strategies to anchor new biogrowth business. With a diverse set of experiences across value chains and geographies from technical to commercial, Elim has consistently showcased leadership in safety, commercial acumen and innovation throughout her career. Elim’s commitment to growth and learning bias also led her to pursue her executive MBA in 2019 at University of California, Berkeley where she served as co-president of her graduating class. Given her passion in talent development, she also served as Chevron Canada’s management sponsor for early career employee network and Chemicals global business DEI sponsor.

Karl Rabago

Karl Rabago

Chair, Advisory Committee

Karl Rábago has 33+ years of experience in energy and climate policy and markets and is recognized as an innovator in utility regulatory issues relating to clean and distributed energy services and technologies. Karl is a frequent author on electricity industry issues and has provided testimony as an expert witness in more than 165 electric and gas utility regulatory proceedings. Karl serves as Chair of the Board of the Center for Resource Solutions, a non-governmental organization that manages the Green-e Certification program for green power products, and on the Boards of Solar United Neighbors and the Texas Solar Energy Society. Karl has been a Commissioner on the Texas Public Utility Commission; a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Energy; Vice President of Distributed Energy Services at Austin Energy; Director of Regulatory Affairs for the AES Corporation and AES Wind; and Managing Director and Principal of the Rocky Mountain Institute.

Harry Simpson

Harry Simpson is the founder and President and CEO of Crimson Renewable Energy Holdings, LLC and its subsidiaries SeQuential Biodiesel, LLC and Sequential Environmental Services, LLC. Harry has led Crimson through business and capital formation, plant construction and expansions, and acquisitions to its current position as California and Oregon’s largest producer of biodiesel and one of the largest used cooking oil collectors on the West Coast. Currently, Harry also serves on the Governing Board and Executive Committee of Clean Fuels Alliance America, the Biomass-based Diesel industry’s national trade association. Harry was also a co-founder of the California Advanced Biodiesel Alliance, a state trade association representing stakeholders in the Biomass-based Diesel value chain. Prior to founding Crimson, Harry served in a variety of senior executive capacities at venture capital backed technology companies and in interbank foreign exchange derivatives trading. Harry is a Chicago native and a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington.

Trinity Lloyd

Trinity Lloyd is the Energy Transition and Sustainability strategy lead for Google Cloud. She is responsible for aligning Google’s sustainability assets with the ESG priorities of major corporations. By activating an ecosystem of collaboration and innovation powered by big data, Ms. Lloyd brings industries and sectors together to tackle challenges, capture emerging markets, and accelerate a sustainable, resilient and profitable future. Prior to joining Google, she spent 25 years building successful programs for top technology firms including Dell, Cisco, and Vmware. Her work has been cited in the Wall Street Journal and the Biden White House Sustainable Aviation Plan. Ms. Lloyd believes that doing what’s right and what’s profitable are not mutually exclusive. They are interdependent and technology is the critical enabler of both.

Mark Matlock

Mark Matlock

Mark Matlock has 40 years of experience from Archer Daniels Midland, where he held various roles, ultimately retiring as Senior Vice President of Food Research in December of 2019. Mark is the author or co-author of ten U.S. patents, two of which relate to an analytical instrument (the “Oil Stability Index” or OSI) that measures the oxidative stability of vegetable oils. This analytical method has been utilized or mentioned in nearly 2,000 scientific papers. Mark was involved in ADM’s early efforts to develop veggie burgers in the late 1980s. He led research for ADM that brought to market new enzyme modified soy protein isolates, and via a novel enzymatic technology, trans free solid fats for margarines and shortenings. The latter development was recognized by both a U.S. Presidential Green Chemistry Award as well as the American Oil Chemists’ Society’s Corporate Achievement award in 2005. Mark also played a key role in ADM’s acquisition of Wild Flavors in 2014 and of Biopolis in 2017. Mark was elected president of the American Oil Chemists’ Society for 2003-2004, an AOCS Fellow in 2007 and and was awarded the A.E. Bailey award, AOCS’s top technical award in 2023.

Kristy Moore

Kristy Moore is a leading authority on motor fuel quality, regulatory, safety and environmental aspects, specializing in renewable and alternative fuels. Kristy is well-known and respected throughout the industry for her depth of knowledge and expertise on gasoline and gasoline-ethanol blends. Kristy is developing opportunities for increased renewable fuel and chemical usage in domestic and global markets for Growth Energy, the largest biofuels trade association. She is an active participant in ASTM International by chairing the D02 Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels and Lubricants Subcommittee 93 on International Standards and Related Activities. She is also an integral member of Committee E48 Bioenergy and Industrial Chemicals from Biomass. She has extensive knowledge of the Fuel Alcohol industry, as well as the Beverage and Industrial Alcohol industries, using this experience to address technical, regulatory issues for building domestic and global markets. Ms. Moore holds a Chemistry degree from Illinois State University.

Dr. Nancy Nee is a thought leader in organizational transformation, specializing in business and digital transformation, voice of the customer, service innovation, and agile product and project delivery. With a track record of managing risks in highly regulated environments, Dr. Nee has led large-scale change and innovation initiatives at organizations such as the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Bureau of Fiscal Service, and IRS, where governance, compliance, and operational rigor are critical to success. As a former Chief Product and Innovation Officer and now a Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Dr. Nee has been at the forefront of bridging the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring that business lines and technology work in tandem to deliver impactful capabilities. Her expertise spans enterprise transformation, digital strategy, and operational efficiency, helping organizations navigate complexity while driving measurable business outcomes. She has her Ph.D. in Designing Sustainable Systems from Case Western Reserve University and is a Design and Innovation Fellow where she contributes to cutting-edge research and thought-leadership in service innovation and transformation strategy.
